2004 Baltic ANS Commission
The EU accepts the single European sky (SES) concept. The same year Lithuania and Poland establish Baltic ANS Commission (BANC) to study opportunities of closer and more complex cooperation among the countries and the ways of implementation of the SES concept.

BANC sends the Letter of intent on development of the Baltic Functional Airspace Block Initiative for the signatures of the states of Lithuania and Poland.

Feasibility Study for the establishment of the Baltic FAB is launched.

Strategic Committee, Project Team and Program Management Office are built up to coordinate joint activities on Baltic FAB establishment.

Lithuania and Poland sign the Baltic Functional Airspace Block Establishment Agreement as well as agreements on NSA and ANSP co-operation.

The block works up detailed implementation programme covering optimization of Baltic FAB airspace use, ANS optimization within Baltic FAB, best practice sharing and Baltic FAB development.
2013 GATE ONE cooperation
2013 GATE ONE cooperation
Both Baltic FAB ANSPs become founding members of GATE ONE, strategic alliance of 11 Central European countries’ ANSPs. The alliance members seek to increase efficiency of the European ATM through a more intensive regional cooperation and represent their common interests at all relevant European fora.

SOFIAXL consortium is formed by the Baltic FAB ANSPs and their partners. The consortium is to meet EUROCONTROL need for air navigation services solution through provision and further support of CS4-AFUAS system.

2014 B4 consortium
Baltic FAB ANSPs together with their counterparts from Czech (ANS CZ) and Slovak Republics (LPS) found B4 Consortium the purpose of which is joint participation in SESAR projects.
2015 Technical solutions road map
2015 Technical solutions road map
The Road Map for technical solution of the Baltic FAB Common ATM System was approved. The key decisions are: entrance into iCAS/iTEC System Group, joint INEA Call application for co-financing of Baltic FAB Common ATM System deployment, new SE “Oro Navigacija” ATM System deployment and further development of PEGASUS_21 System to be aligned with iTEC concept.

Baltic FAB ANSPs are approved as active beneficiaries of 11 SESAR SUs:  Trajectory & Performance Based Free Routing, Separation Management En-Route & TMA, Enhanced Runway Throughput, Airport Safety Nets, Remote Tower for Multiple Airports, Advanced ASM, Communication – Navigation - Surveillance, 4D Trajectory Management, Content integration, Master plan maintenance Validation, Verification and Demonstration Infrastructure.

2016 Joint procurement of ATM System
Baltic FAB ANSPs are the first in the aeronautic world history to execute joint procurement of the common ATM System. The tender for Baltic FAB ATM system is officially announced.

Baltic FAB prepares Development Strategy 2025 built around four strategic objectives: operation as of a single ATM system and supporting services provision, extension of the scope by involving other ANSPs; development of innovative solutions and initiating non-core ANSP activities; setting up new, value driven organizational model.
