The EU Single European Sky (SES) is an ambitious initiative launched by the European Commission to reform the architecture of the European air traffic management. It proposes a legislative approach to meet future capacity and safety needs at European rather than at a national level. Since the launch of the SES initiative in 2004, significant changes of the regulatory framework have taken place in the European ATM sector.
Based on this, Baltic FAB States shall implement performance scheme and apply the Baltic FAB performance plan consistent with the EU-wide performance targets. The Baltic FAB performance plan shall be jointly developed by the Baltic FAB NSAs and be subject to consultation with the stakeholders concerned.
