On 28-29 November 2017 representatives of Ministries responsible for Transport and Defence, National Supervisory Authorities and Air Navigation Service Providers from Lithuania and Poland gathered for the 5th Baltic FAB Board at PANSA Headquarters in Warsaw, Poland.

Board of the Baltic FAB is a body responsible for fulfilment of the objectives of the Baltic FAB and report to the Council. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss status of realization of projects coordinated within Baltic FAB, preparations for the Third Reference Period (2020-2024), achievements in implementation of the Baltic FAB Performance Plan in 2016 and actual performance in 2017, etc.

One of the main issues in the agenda of the meeting was the Action Plan to the Baltic FAB Development Strategy 2025. According to Mr Vilius Veitas, Co-Chairman of the Board, “Action Plan presented by the Management Office may be a big step forward in the cooperation of the Baltic FAB Member States”. The document comprises common tasks to be implemented within the Baltic FAB in all aspects of functioning: operational, technical and organisational.

Following the Board, the Baltic FAB Council is to take place at the beginning of 2018.
