Baltic FAB WAC 2019 DEBATE: “What will be the role of Central and Eastern Europe in the future ATM Network?” highlights
In March at PANSA’s World ATM Congress 2019 stand we gathered together several important voices representing different dimensions of the aviation market: Dr Christine BERG – Head of SES Unit, DG MOVE, European Commission, Mr Diederik PEN – Executive Vice President & Group Chief Operations Officer WIZZ Air, Mr Giancarlo BUONO – Regional Director for Europe in IATA, Ms Małgorzata DAROWSKA – Plenipotentiary of the Polish Ministry of Infrastructure, Mr Mindaugas GUSTYS – Director General Oro Navigacija, Mr Janusz JANISZEWSKI – PANSA CEO and Mr Fanica CARNU – Deputy DG ROMATSA for a debate moderated by Mr Mike SHORTHOSE – Senior Advisor at HELIOS.
During the panel several important issues were raised. Our panellists shared their views, opinions and experiences on the current situation, possible changes and the future of ATM Network. Our panellists have raised the most important issues we have to deal with nowadays and in the nearest future:
The debate was very productive and provided several important notes to be considered in the future. It brought a thorough view of the current situation from different angles since we have had representatives of different actors of aviation sector: the airlines, the ANSPs and the regulators.
The debate attracted attention in the conference hall. Our audience included Mr Razvan BUCUROIU from Network Manager – who also gave his comments from his point of view, Ms Regula DETTLING - OTT the PRB Chair, Ms Tanja GROBOTEK - Director European Affairs CANSO, Mr Florian GUILLERMET and Mr Alain SIEBERT who represented SESAR JU, Ms Gaelle MICHELIER - Deputy Head SES Unit DG MOVE, EC, Mr Peter CURRAN from IATA, Mr Robert SCHICKLING - Managing Director Operations DFS and Mr Raffael GALLEGO – INDRA Company Director among others.
We are proud that we were the hosts of this important event and we hope that the outcomes of it will add to finding the necessary solutions we need to address the challenges of our sector.
